Description :
The ASA centrifugal clutch has the task to separate the
supercharger from the engine at idling speed. Thus noise cannot result from teeth profile play
in the supercharger transmission. Only when reaching the coupling revolutions * the power
delivery between wheel and supercharger is present. The supercharger is only propelled with
complete, actuated connection. The response of the supercharger can be affected by the spring
temper of the clutch. When using softer feathers/springs with low engine speed, load pressure
is developed.3 clutch sizes, which differ by their design and so different maximum torques
transferred, are available. Depending upon supercharger size, a different clutch type is used. *can be varied. |

The durable construction of the clutch and the correct interpretation for operation provides
for a long life span. The clutch has been tested for at least 50,000 coupling procedures, with
minimum wear. |
